Both governments aim to enhance these collaborations, especially in research cooperation. The French and Czech governments wish to strengthen these ties, particularly through cooperation in the field of research.
The Belmont Forum, an international partnership of research funding organizations of which ANR is a member, is launching a call for projects recognizing the pressing challenges and opportunities to meet the targets under the Sustainable Development Goals and the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework in tropical forests worldwide. This Collaborative Research Action (CRA) aims at coordinating actions and projects with a transdisciplinary approach to develop innovative solutions to the challenges faced in tropical forest regions, Amazonia being the largest and most populated. Acknowledging the differences in governance, cultural diversity, and territorial configuration, this CRA spans tropical forests worldwide that face similar challenges.
JPND launches this joint transnational call for proposals, in which ANR is participating, with the aim to improve the well-being of people with neurodegenerative diseases through medical sciences, social sciences and humanities research. More specifically, proposals will aim to increase understanding of the factors that hamper social inclusion, civic participation, dignity and quality of life of patients and their families and to develop more adequate concepts of easily accessible support for people with neurodegenerative diseases at moderate, advanced and end of life stages.
To contribute to achieving the goals of the Ecophyto 2030 Strategy by building on research outcomes, the Ministries responsible for research (MESR), agriculture (MASAF), ecological transition (MTEECPR), and health (MSA) are launching the fourth edition of the "Ecophyto Maturation" (ECOM) call for projects. Managed by the ANR and co-financed by the OFB, this programme promotes the emergence of innovative, operational, and deployable solutions to reduce the use and impact of pesticides.
The joint LEAP-SE 2025 call is the first call of the COFUND LEAP-SE, cofunded by the European Commission as part of the Horizon Europe programme. For France, the ANR is participating in the financing of this call, jointly with the ARI (Agence Régionale de l'Innovation - La Réunion).

The AGROECOLOGY Partnership, funded by the European Union as part of Horizon Europe, which unites the European Commission and 72 partners across 26 Member States, is a research and innovation program aiming to quicken agroecological transition by developing a network of living labs and research infrastructures, enabling the production of innovative solutions with a multi-stakeholder approach and a real-world experimentation.
ANR is joining forces with the ERA-NET NEURON COFUND 2 to launch a call for projects aimed at better understanding the neuroscience of pain in neurological and psychiatric diseases.
Since 2011, the coastal regions of the Caribbean Sea and Gulf of Mexico have been confronted with massive strandings of Sargassum seaweed, the scale and persistence of which stand out from previous waves. The degradation of the seaweed causes significant releases of ammonia and hydrogen sulfide, leading to beach closures and the evacuation of coastal populations, thus confronting the regions concerned with a critical health, environmental and economic situation.
More than 30 funding agencies participate in the M-ERA.NET Call 2025 (edition 2026 for ANR) to fund ambitious transnational RTD projects addressing materials research and innovation supporting the European Green Deal and the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDG). The call is structured in 6 topics, 3 of which are eligible for ANR.
In the framework of its 2025 Work Programme, the French National Research Agency (ANR) proposes the MRSEI call with a continuous submission format throughout the year with two scheduled selection sessions.
