natural Deep Eutectic solvents foR Microalgae bIorefinery in Cosmetic – DERMIC
The DERMIC project aims to study the potential of new solvents from renewable resources, deep eutectic solvents, for the development of microalgae biorefinery schemes. The goal being the valorization of polar and apolar metabolites of 3 biomasses, by proposing in a reduced number of steps, a maximum of ready-to-use ingredients for the cosmetic industries.
Role of Piezo1/KCNN4 interaction in red blood cell physiopathology – ROPKIP
Activation of the mechanosensitive channel PIEZO1 in the red blood cell (RBC) membrane induces a calcium influx responsible for the activation of a KCNN4 potassium channel. The functional coupling between these two ion channels leads to a leak of K, Cl and water and therefore dehydration of the RBCs. Independent mutations on either of these ion channels lead to erythrocyte dehydration responsible for the rare hemolytic anemia, hereditary dehydrated stomatocytosis.

Biomarkers of ANTidepressant RESponse : early indicators and novel targets – ANTaRES
Antidepressants (AD) are for now, the best treatment we have for major depression (MDD) a severe mental disorder. AD are one of the most commonly prescribed drugs in the western hemisphere, however their trial-and- error nature combined with unwanted side-effects, leave a lot to be desired. To be able to predict clinical response at an early-stage of AD treatment is an important aim for the clinician and the potential impact for patients suffering from MDD and for the health system is very high.
SPIRO-QUinolinophenothiazines as Efficient Semi-conducTors for single-layer phosphorescent OLEDs – SPIRO-QUEST
To date, all the high efficiency Phosphorescent Organic Light-Emitting Diodes (PhOLEDs) are multi-layer devices, built on a stack of layers. Simplifying the multi-layers structure with the so-called Single-Layer PhOLEDs (SL-PhOLEDs), the simplest device only made of the electrodes and the emitting layer is a key step. However, high-efficiency SL-PhOLEDs are rarely reported, due to the lack of efficient host materials. SPIROQUEST aims to reach universal materials for high performance SL-PhOLEDs.
Decision system for smart management of resources in warehouses – AGIRE
The project AGIRE addresses the human resources management in warehouses which supply either sale points (B2B) or final consumers (B2C). Such warehouses are under pressure due to the no inventory policy at the sale points and to the constant growth of e-commerce sales. In terms of logistics, this translates into an increasing number of parcels to prepare and to ship to satisfy an order, which is known typically a few hours in advance.
