Open calls and preannouncements

The fifth Joint Call 2026 of the Clean Energy Transition Partnership (CETPartnership), co-funded by the European Commission under the Horizon Europe programme, brings together over 60 funding agencies from 35 countries. This coordinated effort aims to support innovative projects that advance the energy transition. In France, the French National Research Agency (ANR) and the Pays de la Loire Region Council are participating of this call.

The European Partnership ‘Driving Urban Transitions’, derived from the European Horizon Europe Framework Programme and building on the legacy of the JPI Urban Europe, brings together a strong community of nearly 31 countries and over 67 partners to support the European urban innovation ecosystem for the fifth consecutive year. The aim of the DUT Joint Call 2026, is to fund transnational research and innovation projects on urban challenges, at an international level in order to help cities in their transition to a more sustainable economy.

The first Joint Transnational Call 2026 of the Raw Materials Partnership is open for transnational research and innovation projects across the raw materials value chain, from mining to recycling and reuse. The call will support projects that contribute to sustainable and resilient systems for the green and digital transition. In France, the French National Research Agency (ANR) and the Center of Nickel Research Technology Environment Competitiveness (CNRTEC) of New Caledonia are participating of this call.

The European Partnership <link https://www.heritageresearch-hub.eu/european-partnership-for-resilient-cultural-heritage/ _blank>RESILIENT CULTURAL HERITAGE</link> announces the 1st Call for joint research and innovation projects with an indicative total public funding of over EUR 27 million. Projects are due to commence as from December 2027.

The Sustainable Blue Economy Partnership is launching its fourth joint transnational call entitled “Building a sustainable and innovative Blue Economy: mastering digital opportunities and fostering resilience”. The Partnership pledges to boost green and digital transitions of economic activities related to the regional sea basins bordering the EU, namely the Atlantic Ocean, the Baltic Sea, the Black sea, the Mediterranean Sea and the North Sea.

More than 30 funding agencies participate in the M-ERA.NET Call 2026 (edition 2027 for ANR) to fund ambitious transnational RTD projects addressing materials research and innovation supporting the European Green Deal and the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDG). The call is structured in 6 topics, 4 of which are eligible for ANR.

Biodiversa+ is pleased to announce that its 6th annual Joint Call for transnational research projects BiodivFuture is now open.

The European Partnership for Personalised Medicine, EP PerMed (supported by the European Union under Horizon Europe, Grant Agreement N° 101137129), is a platform for joint programming of national and European regional research and innovation supporting activities putting into action “The Strategic Research & Innovation Agenda (SRIA) for Personalised Medicine (2023)”, SRIA for PM (2023), through dedicated research, development and innovation funding.

The French National Research Agency (ANR) will launch in November 2026 a transnational call for projects under the umbrella of the Partnership ERA4Health (“Fostering a European Research Area for Health”). There will be a two-step submission and evaluation procedure for joint applications, i.e. pre-proposals and full proposals, and the full proposal review process will be complemented by a rebuttal stage. The call will be launched on November 17^th, 2026 and applicants will have until January 19^th, 2027 12PM to submit the pre-proposals.

The European Partnership “FOrests, forestry, and the forest-based sector: REsearch and innovation for a Sustainable Transition (FOREST)” aims to mobilise research and innovation to accelerate the transition to a sustainable use of forest resources and a circular, timber-based, bioeconomy. Serving as the primary instrument for collaboration among stakeholders in EU Member States and Associated Countries, the partnership will facilitate coordinated research and innovation (R&I) actions in order to reduce fragmentation and foster innovation and competitiveness in the forest-based sector. The purpose is to support further transformation towards biodiverse, climate-adaptive, multifunctional and sustainable forest management, innovating within the bioeconomy and helping achieve an increasingly productive, resource-efficient and resilient sector.

The European Partnership Transforming Health and Care Systems (THCS), co-funded by Horizon Europe, will launch its Joint Transnational Call 2027 (JTC 2027) on the health and care workforce, “Workforce for Sustainable and Resilient Systems”. ANR takes part in this call. The call is expected to open on 16 November 2026, and the deadline for pre-proposals is 21 January 2027.

The European Partnership for a sustainable Future of Food Systems, FutureFoodS, hereby pre-announces its 3^rd co-funded call for transnational research projects.

The European Partnership Water4All – Water security for the planet, co-funded by the European Union within the frame of the Horizon Europe programme, is pleased to announce the upcoming launch of its new Joint Transnational Call on “Sustainable Water Management”.
