The Belmont Forum, an international partnership of research funding organizations of which ANR is a member, is launching a call for proposals in the area of oceanic science. The call, entitled “OCEAN 2: Towards the Ocean We Want : Biodiversity and Ecosystem Sustainability for Nature and Human Well-being”, aims at coordinating actions and projects through a transdisciplinary approach, fostering co-creation, co-design, and co-implementation of innovative solutions to address global environmental challenges related to the ocean, its biodiversity from genes to ecosystems.
The rapid development of AI-powered robotics is transforming industry, services and broader society by enabling new capabilities in various complex real-world environments. Building on these advances, this EIG CONCERT-Japan joint call for proposals “AI-Powered Robotics for Real-World Applications" supports collaborative research between researchers in Japan and Europe addressing key scientific and technological challenges in the development of AI-powered adaptive, autonomous and intelligent robotics capable of operating in dynamic, unstructured and human-centered environments in the real world.
More than 30 funding agencies participate in the M-ERA.NET Call 2026 (edition 2027 for ANR) to fund ambitious transnational RTD projects addressing materials research and innovation supporting the European Green Deal and the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDG). The European Partnership Water4All – Water security for the plantet, co-funded by the European Union within the frame of the Horizon Europe programme, is pleased to announce the upcoming launch of its new Joint Transnational Call on “Sustainable Water Management (excluding extreme events and circularity)” that will open on 8 September 2026.
The European Partnership “FOrests, forestry, and the forest-based sector: REsearch and innovation for a Sustainable Transition (FOREST)” aims to mobilise research and innovation to accelerate the transition to a sustainable use of forest resources and a circular, timber-based, bioeconomy. Serving as the primary instrument for collaboration among stakeholders in EU Member States and Associated Countries, the partnership will facilitate coordinated research and innovation (R&I) actions in order to reduce fragmentation and foster innovation and competitiveness in the forest-based sector. The purpose is to support further transformation towards biodiverse, climate-adaptive, multifunctional and sustainable forest management, innovating within the bioeconomy and helping achieve an increasingly productive, resource-efficient and resilient sector.
Biodiversa+ will launch its new transnational research call, co-funded by the European Commission on the 9th of September. The Call will be on “Novel ecosystems: biodiversity, socio-ecological consequences and future trajectories (BiodivFuture)”. Get ready and start building your project!
The EU Partnership on Animal Health and Welfare (EUPAHW) aims to ensure that livestock, poultry and aquaculture systems operate sustainably for the benefit of animal health and welfare and the society. The 2026 co-funded transnational call, which is the second EUPAHW call, brings together national and regional financial resources from Ministries and Funding Organisations (FOs) in 24 countries—each responsible for supporting research and innovation—with co-funding from the European Union.
