Biomass is one of the most promising options among renewable energy sources.
The economic and environmental sustainability of solutions proposed is required to use Biomass as a source of energy. The co-valorization Energy/co-products through the development of greenchemical processes associated with energy production could allow to achieve the economical and environmental sustainability of the bioenergy industry.
Bio-ME is a new programme, based on the former “Bioenergies” programme which had financed three calls for proposals from 2008 to 2010. This new programme focuses on the concept of biorefinery. It aims at the valorization of all components of biomass to produce energy and co-products for chemical industry, in order to achieve the economical and environmental sustainability.
The programme aims to develop multidisciplinary public/private partnership structures and implement innovative scientific and technical actions. The main objectives are:
Bio-ME is organized in four thematic lines:

The appelsprojetsrecherche.fr portal centralises all information on calls for proposals and calls for applications from ADEME, ANR, Inserm including ANRS, Anses and INCa. It provides a simplified access to upcoming and ongoing calls, giving a greater visibility to funding opportunities. Following their closing date, the calls remain published for a few months.
