THE IMPACT OF THE UKRAINIAN CRISIS ON RESEARCH FUNDING SUPPORT ACTIONS AND INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION

In addition, pursuant to the recent provisions adopted by France, the ANR is taking the following measures:
- The Agency is suspending its partnership with the Russian Science Foundation.
- As far as multilateral cooperation are concerned, the Agency will no longer take part in actions involving Russian or Belarusian institutions.
- Regarding the ongoing 2022 generic call for proposals, projects involving Russian or Belarusian laboratories will not be funded by the ANR.
The French National Research Agency would like to highlight the existence of the PAUSE Programme and its solidarity-based response for Ukrainian scientists in danger. This programme, organised by the Collège de France, is opening a special call for emergency assistance to Ukrainian researchers in danger through an emergency fund granted by the French Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation.
The ANR is monitoring the international situation on a daily basis, and these measures will remain in effect as long as the circumstances requires such actions.
ABOUT THE ANR
The French National Research Agency (ANR) is the funding agency for project-based research in France. The Agency, a public institution under the authority of the Ministry in charge of Research, aims to fund and promote the development of basic and targeted research, technical innovation and technology transfer, as well as partnerships between research teams from public and private sectors at national, European, and international levels.
