Generic Call 2016: an accelerated evaluation system implemented for projects relating to migration, asylum, and refugee policy

ANR announced at the pre-proposal submission site’s opening that an accelerated selection system for projects relating to migration, asylum, and refugee policies in all of their facets will be implemented under the generic call.

At the request of the French Research Ministry, ANR is undertaking targeted action to rapidly fund research in humanities and social sciences fields on migrant and refugee issues. More specifically, ANR is looking to speed up funding of projects submitted under Generic call for proposals 2016 on migration policy, asylum and refugee themes from a number of standpoints (political, historical, legal, social, economic, demographic, geographic, and so on).

Projects to be launched in early 2016

Project applications must be submitted by 15 October 2015 at 1 p.m. (Paris time). In order to ensure available funding for the first projects selected in this context by January 2016, the agency will develop an accelerated and dedicated selection process observing customary quality criteria.

Generic call for proposals 2016, which opened on 24 July 2015, represents the bulk of the coming year’s funding offering. The pre-proposal closure date for Collaborative research projects (PRC), Collaborative research projects involving enterprises (PRCE), and Young researchers (JCJC) instruments is 15 October 2015, at 1 p.m. (Paris time). Project coordinators wishing to submit a project under PRCI must also register their projects by this date. The pre-proposal submission site has been open since 15 September 2015.
