Focus on ANR-China cooperation

China is ANR’s leading non-European partner. Since 2007, the agency has co-funded 55 Franco-Chinese collaborative projects in several fields for up to €15 M. The fruitful cooperation continues in 2014. Find out more information about the cooperation between ANR and China in a special newssheet.

The French National Research Agency plays a major role in the France-China scientific cooperation, through its collaborations with the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) and the Chinese Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST).

Since 2007, the agency has regularly launched joint calls for proposals with its Chinese counterparts, in order to facilitate the funding of projects jointly carried out by French and Chinese teams. The cooperation concerns numerous fields: information and communication sciences and technologies (ICST), nanotechnology, engineering sciences, materials, chemistry and energy, ecotechnologies, environment, microbial genomics, infectious diseases, but also social sciences.

In 2014, the collaboration continues in ICST (opening of ANR's generic call) and in social sciences (specific call "ORA China-Europe").
