ANR IMMEMO project wins the 2011 challenge "Facial Expression Recognition and Analysis"
This first international evaluation campaign for evaluation of facial expression recognition was held on the occasion of the conference "Face and Gesture recognition in 2011". Fifteen teams participated in this event.
The French team was top ranked, before the University of Californie-San Diego (2nd), Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (3rd), the University of Queensland associated with Carnegie Mellon (4th) and a consortium gathering the MIT and the University of Cambridge (5th).
This work was achieved within the framework of the project IMMEMO (Emotional 3D Dumping) funded by the French National Research Agency (Content and Interactions Programme 2009) and by the competitiveness cluster Cap Digital.
