PRIMA - Section 2 2025 – Partnership for Research and Innovation in the Mediterranean Area call for proposals
- Enhancing Policy Development through Impact-Driven Water Footprint and Virtual Water Concepts in the Mediterranean Region;
- Upscaling Agroecology Practices at the Farm Level in the Mediterranean;
- Towards a Plant-Based Protein Transition in the Mediterranean Region.
Only transnational projects will be funded. The consortia must be composed of at least four legal entities established in at least three different countries considered as PRIMA Participating States. All three legal entities must be independent of each other and established as follows:
- At least one must be established in a EU Member State or a third country associated with Horizon Europe participating to the Call for Proposals and not being a MPC (Mediterranean Partner Countries). In the frame of this Call, the countries concerned are: Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Luxembourg, Malta, Portugal, Slovenia and Spain. This includes the overseas countries and territories (OCTs) of the related Member States listed.
- At least two must be established in one of the following MPC: Algeria, Jordan, Israel, Tunisia, Morocco, Lebanon, Egypt, Türkiye.

For projects selected for funding, each partner of the consortium will be funded directly by its respective national funding organisation. Therefore, all national regulations apply. In particular, the French applicants must read the document entitled “Appendix for French participants” available on this webpage.
