Transnational call for proposals on nanomedicine through the ERA-NET EuroNanoMed
The ANR is associated to the ERA-Net EuroNanoMed to launch a third joint transnational call for proposals for funding of innovative research projects in Nanomedicine .
Fourteen countries / regions are participating to this call for proposals: Basque region (Spain), France, Germany, Iceland, Israel, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Spain, Switzerland, Turkey, Veneto Region (Italy), Walloon Region (Belgium).
The aims of the call are to support multidisciplinary and translational research proposals that combine innovative approaches (basic, clinical, industrial) in the field of nanomedicine. This initiative will bring together academic, clinical/public health and industrial research teams to develop innovative diagnostic and therapeutic solutions for the patient, thus enhancing the competitiveness of the European health industry.
Proposals can address the three subfields:
- Regenerative medicine
- Diagnostics
- Targeted delivery systems
Each collaborative project consortium should have the optimal critical mass to achieve ambitious scientific & technological goals and should clearly show the added value of working together. In particular, the project consortium should clearly demonstrate an added value in knowledge transfer towards either clinical (public health applications/research) or towards pharmaceutical/industrial applications. As such, a proposal must include partners from at least two of the three categories: academia, clinical/public health and industry.
Research proposals have to involve a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 7 partners from at least 3 different countries. A majority of partners and the coordinator must be from EuroNanoMed countries/regions participating in the call (see list above).
Funding will be awarded for a maximum of three years. The ANR will fund only the French partners in the selected projects.
The specific annex for French partners is available on this site. The call text, proposal template, and guidelines for applicants are available both on this site and on www.euronanomed.net.
Research project consortia who intend to submit a transnational proposal should register as soon as possible at www.euronanomed.net, clicking the “to register” button and following the directions.
Submission deadline: 15th April 2011, 17:00:00 CET (Paris local time).
Electronic proposal submission is mandatory on: www.nanomedsubmission.net
