Franco-German call for proposals in Social Sciences and Humanities - FRAL 2023

ANR is launching its 17th Franco-German call for proposals in Social Sciences and Humanities and (SSH) in collaboration with the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG).

This call aims to fund research projects involving at least one French and one German team. It is open to all research areas within the SSH. Thematically, the research projects do not necessarily have to relate to Franco-German objects and/or field researches.

Funding requests are subject to each agency’s requirements, rules and procedures, as stated in the call for proposals. DFG and ANR will be respectively responsible for funding their national research teams : ANR will fund French research organizations and DFG will fund German ones.

Project submission: Projects must be submitted to both agencies and follow their respective procedures (for more details on applications to ANR, please see the guidance in the call text, in particular in the appendix for French applicants).

The appelsprojetsrecherche.fr portal centralises all information on calls for proposals and calls for applications from ADEME, ANR, Inserm including ANRS, Anses and INCa. It provides a simplified access to upcoming and ongoing calls, giving a greater visibility to funding opportunities. Following their closing date, the calls remain published for a few months.
