The ANR joins the Joint Programming Initiative "Healthy Diet for a Healthy Life" (JPI HDHL) to launch a joint call for proposals to fund transnational research projects on Nutrition and Cognitive Function.
Ten countries are participating in this call: Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, The Netherlands, Poland, Spain and United Kingdom.
The objective of the call is to support ambitious, innovative and transnational collaborative research projects that will address important questions relating to the interplay between nutrition and cognitive function, such as perception, reasoning, thinking, memory and/or cognitive processes. Both the influence of dietary patterns (and/or dietary constituents, where appropriate) on cognitive functions and vice versa the effects of Central Nervous System nutrient signaling and cognitive processes on food intake, dietary patterns and eating behaviour are relevant for this call.
Prevention rather than progression of disease is the focus of this call. Research dealing primarily with clinically manifested neurological, neurodegenerative, or psychiatric diseases and their interrelation to nutrition/diet is not eligible for this call.
Funding will be awarded for a maximum of three years. The ANR will fund only the French partners in the selected projects.
The call is centrally coordinated by the Joint Call Secretariat, which is represented by the German funding organisation, DLR.
Submissions of proposals will proceed in two steps. All pre-proposals should be submitted online via the submission website before the deadline: June 8th, 2015, 23:59 CET.
Each French partner of the selected projects will sign a grant agreement with the ANR. Therefore, he/she will adhere to the methods stipulated in the "Regulations concerning the conditions of allocation of ANR funding ", which may be consulted on the ANR website.
