ASTRID Call for expression of interest "Climatic Extremes" 2026
The French National Research Agency (ANR), in collaboration with the French Defence Innovation Agency (AID), is launching the call for expression of interest “Climatic Extremes”.
Applicants are invited to submit proposals to enhance knowledge about climate change and energy transition and their implications for Defence for one or more of these priorities :
- Psycho-physiology ;
- The technologies of deployed systems;
- Human and social sciences (and more particularly the cohesion of combat units and the social cohesion of civilian populations confronted with a concomitant event of armed conflict and extreme climatic events) ;
- The physico-chemical characterization of extreme hot and cold environments
Proposals must account for both civilian and military benefits
Proposals can cover a range of TRL contained between 1 and 6
