Specific call for proposals – Academia Partnerships Africa-France – 3rd edition (PeA3) – 2025
The projects should promote, in a cross-cutting manner, the access, participation, and retention of women in the selected programmes.
This new edition is open to the following African countries: South Africa, Cameroon, Ethiopia, Gabon, Ghana, Guinea, Kenya, Mozambique, Nigeria, The Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), Rwanda, and Togo. The call for proposals specifies the eligibility requirements.
As reminder, the opening of the file on the ANR platform must be carried out only by the French coordinating institution. The French coordinating institution then invites the other institution(s) of the consortium.

The selection process for the PeA3 call for proposals involves two phases: a pre-selection phase with the online submission of all documents, and a selection phase including a formal interview with applicant consortiums. The stages are detailed in the call for proposals text.
The proposal should be submitted via the ANR platform (link below) before the proposal submission deadline. It consists of:
- a project proposal including a scientific document and two appendices (budget and letters of support);
- and documents relating to AML-TF due diligence, as well as analysis of entity status.

The appelsprojetsrecherche.fr portal centralises all information on calls for proposals and calls for applications from ADEME, ANR, Inserm including ANRS, Anses and INCa. It provides a simplified access to upcoming and ongoing calls, giving a greater visibility to funding opportunities. Following their closing date, the calls remain published for a few months.
