This project is dedicated to improving our understanding of (1) the (nonlinear) relationships between dominant modes of climate variability in the Pacific and (2) the connections between climate modes and regimes of ocean waves. It aims at linking current knowledge in both climate and coastal dynamics to guide the development of the future generation of Earth System Models (ESMs) and high-resolution reanalyzes and ultimately better address the societal demand of vulnerable nations in the context of climate change.
