Social Cognition Screening – SCOS
This research project questions the topic of social cognition of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) at a fundamental level by investigating visual activity and the link between social cognition and cognition and at an applied level providing screening to professionals in the medical-social field. On an eye-tracking device, we will present experimental socio-cognitive tasks that we will link to results on standardised tools to study the children profiles. Data will be compared between groups (ASD and control) and will allow us to respond to hypotheses concerning the visual exploration of emotional faces and social scenes. Moreover, we hypothesize that particular developmental profile can be identified in visual behaviour. For that purpose we will analyse the data using an artificial intelligence method (the deep learning) which will enable us to improve our screening tool.
