PasteurEduc4 – PasteurEduc4
The "PasteurEduc" program is an initiative of the Pasteur Institute to promote education and scientific mediation. The PasteurEduc 4 project aims to extend and strengthen the action of meeting/sensitization towards the general public, through the organization of events with audiences such as science festivals.
The project plans a series of actions, including participation in scientific festivals, interventions in schools, the creation of communication supports to make science accessible to a non-specialized public, and the production of popularization videos broadcast on the Pasteur Institute's YouTube channel.
The planned actions within the project include:
• Participation in scientific festivals (Science Festival, Utopiales Festival, ReCombinaison Festival, etc.),
• Interventions in schools to sensitize students to scientific research,
• Creation of communication supports to make science accessible to a non-specialized public in partnership with the Fondation La main à la pâte,
• Production of popularization videos,
• Creation of an exhibition and/or mediation in partnership with Micropolis, the city of insects, on vector-borne diseases,
• Consolidation and development of the ReCombinaison Festival.
The project's steering structure includes the communication department, scientific coordination, the Grants Office, and the Fondation La main à la pâte. The total cost of the project is estimated at €341,000, of which €237,000 corresponds to the Pasteur Institute's in-kind contribution. The aid requested from the ANR is €70,000.
The project aims to promote scientific mediation and make science accessible to a wide audience, particularly students and the general public.
