Aziridines stereocontroled ring-opening for high molecular complexity and diversity – ASTERO
The project aims i) at studying the potential of aziridines as starting point for the enantioselective synthesis of more complex, polyfunctionalized molecules with a tetrasubstituted stereogenic center and ii) at understanding the different mechanisms governing the regioselectivity of these transformations. Thus, a partnership between synthetic organic chemistry and theoretical chemistry has been established and takes advantage of complementary and essential expertises to achieve the envisaged objectives. By capitalizing on the experience of each partner, the project proposes to develop new aziridines ring-opening towards high molecular complexity and diversity.
