Augmented Reality Great Opportunities CNRS Regional Office 13 – ARGO CNRS DR13
Following the call for projects Science with and for society - Scientific, technical and industrial culture - AAPG JCJC / PRC 18/19 launched at the end of 2021 by the National Research Agency, this new call based on the AAPG JCJC / PRC20 gives the opportunity to implement more ambitious actions of mediation, communication or scientific valorization.
Through the proposed actions, the CNRS aims to show citizens the value of scientific data so that the knowledge generated by the laboratories can be given due consideration in societal and individual choices. The CNRS is aware that fundamental research involves specialized and sometimes abstract concepts and that the results of this work need to be placed in a "narrative" that goes beyond them and encompasses them. This approach to mediation, which combines national mechanisms, territorial actions and customized support, makes it possible to address, among other things, the phenomena of fake news, the impact of scientific alerts, and the controversies and debates that fuel the dialogue between science, research and society.
For this call for SAPS AAPG20 projects, 2 main orientations are proposed to enhance 25 scientific projects: the creation of a virtual laboratory in augmented reality and the organization of events under the national brand of the CNRS "Les Echappées inattendues" including a training course in scientific mediation for some of the scientific leaders of the AP YDC and PRC 20.
