Digital Twin for an Emergency Department – JUNEAU
The Emergency Department (ED) represents the first stage of the path for some patients in a Hospital (UH). This project aims to propose a Digital Twin (DT) for the ED to both visualise the service behaviour in quasi real-time and forecast and anticipate its behaviour to control the “Emergency throughput time” indicator. This DT will be centred on modelling the "patient pathway" view, to precise necessary data, information and decision helps.
The first scientific objective aims to define if a holonic architecture for the DT is adapted to ED practices.
The second scientific objective is on control hybridation, by aiming at coupling centralised and decentralised approaches to obtain a model as close as possible of the system dynamics.
The last scientific objective is the management of DT evolution, linked both to physical system dynamics and evolutions of simulation hypotheses. We will use both approaches based on geometric and/or topologic invariants and the DDDS (Dynamic Data Driven Simulation) paradigm to support.
