algeBrA, pRoofs, Algorithms, Curves and sUrfaces for coDes and their Applications – BARRACUDA
This project treats security and privacy concerns raised by the increasing use of data outsourcing or Blockchain technology. These new problems, for which usual cryptographic primitives are inaccurate, have in common that the proposed solutions often involve error correcting codes constructed using algebraic methods. The objective of the BARRACUDA project is to work on these modern questions of coding theory that motivate the various applications mentioned above. To this end, we gather researchers from two distinct communities. On the one hand, specialists in coding theory and cryptography, and on the other hand, mathematicians with a strong culture in number theory and algebraic geometry. BARRACUDA forms a unique network bringing together all the required skills to resolve these new challenges.
