Europe and Italian fascism : transnationalism, circulations and networks (1922-1943) – EUROFA
The historiography of Italian fascism is being renewed. The many historiographical debates, over elements which do not yet generate unanimous consent (for example the problematic question of defining the fascist phenomenon itself, the links between fascism and totalitarianism, the issue of racism and anti-Semitism regarding the fascist project), are leaving some important topics unexplored.Among the fields to be explored there is the one of the European frame of Italian fascism. It is not a question, already explored, of understanding fascist impregnation and “contagion” in Europe, by movements which more or less tried to imitate fascism or to model on it. We would like to deal with the articulation and the presence of fascism across Europe, through traditional relays. The aim is threefold : determining fascist networks throughout Europe, analysing the links between Italian immigrants and fascism, and rediscovering the fascist conception of Europe. This, in transnational dimension.
