Declarative approach for generating tailored Blockchains – GenBlock
GenBlock aims at democratizing blockchain technologies by relying on a generative approach for producing tailored blockchains matching the functional and non-functional requirements of any practitioner. To reach this objective, we propose in this project to construct of a taxonomy that will accurately capture the properties of the components, sub-protocols and interoperability solutions of existing blockchains on the one hand, and to develop a Domain Specific Language (DSL) which will select and configure appropriate building blocks to semi-automatically generate perfectly fit tailored blockchains for any particular applications on the other. The envisioned success of this project relies on a strong and complementary consortium involving both academic experts in distributed algorithms, domain specific languages and privacy-enhancing technologies as well as a leading company in Blockchain technologies.
