Quantum trajectories – QTraj

Submission summary

This project deals with Markov processes describing quantum experiments and technologies. This processes are quite singular and the study of their time asymptotic behavior requires the development of new tools for the analysis of Markov chains. Some members of this project recently obtained significant results in that perspective. The uniqueness of the invariant measure has been proven and a large deviation principle derived for the entropy production of an associated dynamical system. Related hypothesis testing error exponents were also obtained. The project goal is to capitalize on these results to improve our understanding of these processes. Our goal is particularly the study of generic quantum trajectories and apply innovative tools for the study of Markov chains such as functional inequalities.
