HEterogeneity and Routing Algorithms in networks – HERA
The HERA project aims to study heterogeneous (or multi-layer) network objects where several protocols coexist. Classical routing
algorithms do not work on such networks due to their heterogeneity. The routing requires protocol changes and tunnel
establishments. The project goal is twofold: first, to study the theoretical aspects of these networks (structure, resiliency,
complexity...) and to design a random topology generator; second, to develop distributed routing algorithms automatizing tunnel
establishments, and to specify corresponding protocols allowing the communication in such networks.
