Selenium And Fluorine Associated: the wedding of two stars (SAFA) – SAFA
To answer to the growing interests for new molecules in various applications fields (life science, materials), the development of innovative functional groups is more and more required. Selenium and fluorine have been identified as atoms playing a central role in the modulation of the properties of numerous molecular platforms. Their association in the same chemical group should conduct to molecules with unexpected properties. The main goal of this proposal is twice: be able to describe quasi-unknown fluoro-seleno groups on aromatic position; perform innovative methodologies for the introduction of these new moieties into complex molecular structures. Numerous seleno di-, tetra- and hexalent are targeted with final extension towards radiolabelled compounds.
