Modèles Aléatoires eN Ecologie, Génétique et Evolution – MANEGE

Submission summary

Our aim in the proposal MANEGE is to produce methodological and conceptual advances in the study of stochastic processes modelling ecology, population genetics and the evolution of life. Our work is backed up by a permanent dialogue with several teams of ecologists and geneticists in France. The three working seminars which take place in each of the three centers of MANEGE (Palaiseau, Paris, Marseille) aggregate all probabilists interested in our themes. The French Probability school for Ecology, Genetics and Evolutionary Biology is being built through the education of PhD students, and also by the attraction that we exert on young, bright probabilists. One of our tasks is to help our young colleagues progress until they are in the position of defending their 'habilitation'.
