Applicable methods in trifluoromethoxylation for high value compounds and 18F-PET Imaging – Ap-PET-I
The overall objective of the Ap-PET-I project is to devise new and efficient nucleophilic trifluoromethoxylation methods. The protocols should be robust enough for application, on the one hand, in medicinal and agrochemical R&D especially; and, on the other hand, in more delicate processes such as the preparation of radiotracers for 18F PET imaging.
Elucidating the multifaceted functions of protein acetyltransferases in plant stress response and regulation of metabolism. – KatNat
The overarching aim of the KatNat project is to provide a mechanistic understanding of protein acetylation in plants, with a particular focus on investigating the enzymes that catalyze this modification (Nt- and K-acetyltransferases) and the resultant effects on proteostasis, photosynthesis, and metabolism.
Sex-specific ageing in the wild – AGEX

Ebola virus epidemic: ANR funds three research projects on the disease
At the end of 2014, ANR introduced an initiative baptised "Ebola expediter" in the exceptional context of the Ebola virus outbreak in West Africa. The aim of this initiative was to identify - among the pre-proposals submitted in the first stage of the generic call 2015 - scientific work that can justify rapid funding, either because it can provide answers to urgent needs in a crisis situation or because its initiation is particularly appropriate during an epidemic. On completion of an expedited selection process, three projects are being funded for a total sum of €1.7 M.
Selective edge filling of collapsed carbon nanotubes for nanoelectronics – EdgeFiller
We aim to create new bilayer graphene nanoribbons as a superior alternative to currently proposed nanoribbons, proposed as nanocomponents for future electronics. They will be created from large single walled carbon nanotubes, which collapse due to their diameter. This new system has cavities along the collapsed edges which will be then filled. This will allow us to modify the conductivity and introduce charge and spin carriers with exceptional mobility.
