FLT3 inhibitors for the treatment of neuropathic pain – NEUROPATH
Neuropathic pain (NP) is a chronic pain disorder caused by nerve damage secondary to other pathologies (eg diabetes), or surgical or traumatic lesions. Treatments for NP are non-specific, inefficient and generate side effects. NEUROPATH researchers found that NP was selectively initiated and maintained by stimulation of the Tyrosine Kinase Receptor FLT3, which therefore appears to be a relevant therapeutic target for NP.

The political role played by cinema during the Second World War is an acknowledged fact. There is no shortage of research into the productions of Hollywood, Great Britain and France during that period, but our knowledge of Soviet cinema is less well documented. Funded by ANR since 2013, the CINESOV project has set itself the goal of exploring the Soviet cinematographic policy and its implications, both economic and social, in Russia at war (1939-1949). An exhibition entitled "Filming the War – The Soviets and the Holocaust, 1941-1946", currently showing at the Shoah Memorial in Paris until 27th September 2015, fits into this perspective.

The experimental challenge consists in deploying novel experimental procedures (IR ns/ UV ns, IR ns/UV fs, helium droplets) in order to detect and identify bio-relevant systems from their IR spectroscopy. Then, the ultimate goal is to record a conformer-selective dynamics. The challenge for theoretical spectroscopy and dynamics of excited states of bio-relevant systems comes from the number of states of different nature which need to be described simultaneously in a balanced and accurate way.
