Geology and architecture in Delos – GAD
From the 3rd millennium BC to the 6th century AD, hundreds of public and private buildings were erected in Delos combining local materials with those imported from the surrounding islands or from mainland Greece. The GAD project aims to study all steps of the use of stone in the architecture of Delos, from quarrying to building.
Psychological disengagement and self-esteem : a vicious cycle of dropping out of school ? – DISESTEEM
We investigate four potential predictors of school disengagement: a disadvantaged family background, unfavourable and unfair treatment by a teacher or peers, or membership of a disadvantaged social group. Our aim is first to show that the feeling of relative deprivation mediates the link between the main predictors and school disengagement. Second, we will study the consequences of this disengagement on self-esteem, emotions, and performance.
Structure of lipids-bile salts mixed assemblies and their solubilization capacity/absorption of lipophilic micro-constituents – AssemBiles
Mixed assemblies (micellar but also lamellar and liquid crystalline phases) made of lipids and bile salts form during digestion, responsible for the transport of lipids and lipophilic micro-constituents such as vitamins A, E, D, K, carotenoids, sterols. But the determinants of their solubilization capacity (amount they can load) are poorly known.

Membrane processes in ScCO2 medium for economical supercritical processes – MemScCO2
The introduction of regulations or societal demands for less pollution requires green solvents that are less toxic for humans/the environment. Supercritical CO2 is an excellent green solvent, but its use is very energy-intensive.
Recycling supercritical CO2 using membrane filtration reduces the energy cost of extracting sunflower oil using supercritical CO2 by more than 90%, making it economically viable.
Identification of Small Molecules Aborting Resistance to TB prodrugs – SMARt-TB
During the last few years, our research-consortium has developed an alternative strategy to revert resistance to antibiotics. We have demonstrated that resistance of M. tb to the prodrug ethionamide can be circumvented by waking up alternative bioactivation pathways using small molecules.
Buoyed by this initial success, we have now extended this innovative concept to tackle resistance associated to the two nitroimidazoles: pretomanid and delamanid.
