Call for transnational research projects within the Joint Programming Initiative on Antimicrobial Resistance (JPIAMR)
fundamental, translational research, with the exception of clinical trials. Topics of the call
Combination of Vertical and Horizontal GaN Transistors for Efficient Power Conversion Electronics – C-PI-GaN
The main objective of this project is to prepare the basic building blocks for a new generation of high-power converters in which GaN-based devices using both vertical and horizontal configurations are monolithically integrated.
Enzyme-Functionalized nanomaterials to use soil ORganic P Reserves for AGriculturE – FORAGE
FORAGE aims to develop new products in the fertilizer industry based on nanomaterials functionalized with enzymes to improve the supply of phosphate to agriculture from the strong reserves of organic P (Po) in the soil, generally inaccessible to plants.
Psychological disengagement and self-esteem : a vicious cycle of dropping out of school ? – DISESTEEM
We investigate four potential predictors of school disengagement: a disadvantaged family background, unfavourable and unfair treatment by a teacher or peers, or membership of a disadvantaged social group. Our aim is first to show that the feeling of relative deprivation mediates the link between the main predictors and school disengagement. Second, we will study the consequences of this disengagement on self-esteem, emotions, and performance.
Quantitative Optical Imaging for Liver Surgery – LiverSURG
Despite significant progress in medical imaging technologies, there currently exist no tools capable of objectively helping healthcare professionals during liver transplantation surgeries. Instead, surgeons still rely on their own senses to determine whether a transplant is healthy either before, during or after the procedure. In this project we propose to develop innovative solutions to allow quantitative multispectral optical imaging in real-time during liver transplant surgery.
Low Loading Asymmetric Catalysis with Helical Chiral Oligoureas – HCO_for_LLAC
Urea-Based Foldamers as Hydrogen-Bond Donor Catalysts for Molecular and Macromolecular Reactions
Membrane processes in ScCO2 medium for economical supercritical processes – MemScCO2
The introduction of regulations or societal demands for less pollution requires green solvents that are less toxic for humans/the environment. Supercritical CO2 is an excellent green solvent, but its use is very energy-intensive.<br />Recycling supercritical CO2 using membrane filtration reduces the energy cost of extracting sunflower oil using supercritical CO2 by more than 90%, making it economically viable.
Assessing seismic hazards in slowly deforming orogens. – SLOWDEF
Challenges and new methodology, from a field example: the Western Kunlun mountain range (Xinjiang, China).
Charge transfer control in small molecular architectures – CHACRA
The CHACRA project aims to fundamentally study charge transfer (CT) processes in molecular assemblies adsorbed on a silicon surface functionalized with an insulating layer. Our work on manipulating and electronically decoupling individual molecules enables us to use low-temperature (9 K) scanning tunneling microscopy to induce, analyze, and control CT in carefully selected molecular assemblies.
