Journée mondiale des maladies rares : focus sur les formes rares de l’hypertension pulmonaire
Le Projet DESTINATION 2024, lauréat de l’appel à projets Recherche hospitalo-universitaire (RHU) opéré par l'ANR pour le compte de l'Etat au titre de France 2030, vise à améliorer la prise en charge de l’hypertension pulmonaire thromboembolique chronique qui touche en France quelques centaines de personnes par an. Lauréat du Grand Prix Inserm 2025 pour ses travaux consacrés aux origines génétiques, aux mécanismes physiopathologiques et aux avancées thérapeutiques dans l’hypertension artérielle pulmonaire, Marc Humbert, doyen et professeur de pneumologie à la Faculté de Médecine de l’Université Paris-Saclay et responsable du projet, revient sur son parcours et ses découvertes.
Joint Transnational Call (2026) – Personalised Medicine for CARdiovascular, MEtabolic and kidNey diseases (CARMEN2026)
In the frame of the European Partnership for Personalised Medicine, EP PerMed, (supported by the European Union under Horizon Europe, Grant Agreement N° 101137129), the French National Research Agency (ANR), in collaboration with 38 funding organisations, launches a joint transnational call for proposals on “Personalised Medicine for CARdiovascular, MEtabolic and kidNey diseases, acronym: CARMEN2026”. The available budget for this call is over 38 Mio€.

In the Mirror of the European Neighbourhood (Policy): Mapping Macro-Regional Imaginations. – IMAGEUN
By involving the proponents of two currents of geography in the same consortium, «theoretical and quantitative«, and regional analysis on the French side and critical geopolitics on the German side, the theoretical objective of this project aims to contribute to the analysis of macro-regions through the dialogue between these traditions which rarely work together for the study of the same object.
High-throughput screening tools for a reinforced chemical safety surveillance of food – SENTINEL
Today, the surveillance of the chemical safety of food relies primarily on high-performance analytical methods capable of quantifying trace amounts of bioactive compounds. However, these methods are expensive and time-consuming to implement, which limits the scope of surveillance by food safety authorities and makes industrial self-monitoring virtually impossible. SENTINEL offers solutions to overcome these limitations.

French Presidency of the Council of the European Union (FPCEU): ANR actions and events
The French Presidency of the Council of the European Union (FPCEU), being held from 1 January to 30 June 2022, is a major opportunity to strengthen the exposure of the French and European Higher education, research and innovation (HERI) community. In this context, more than 70 labelled events by the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation (MESRI) are held by organisations, operators or institutions. The French National Research Agency (ANR) organises and takes part in several FPCEU-labelled events. This is an opportunity to review the actions and instruments implemented by the ANR to strengthen European scientific collaborations.

European research funding programmes: The ANR’s actions to improve French participation
European research and innovation framework programmes, such as Horizon Europe, provide unique funding opportunities for France and its research teams. That is why the Ministry of Higher Education and Research rolled out a National Action Plan to improve French participation in these programmes: the PAPFE. An overview of the actions proposed by the French National Research Agency (ANR) within the framework of this plan, with two schemes created in 2022.
