Generic Call for Proposals 2017: an edition focused on simplification measures
Since its setting up in 2013, the Generic Call for Proposals is the biggest call for proposals of ANR’s Action Plan. It brings together thus a major part of the measures provided each year by the Agency (PRC, PRCE, PRCI and JCJC Instruments). Published today, this fourth consecutive Generic Call for Proposals will be closed on October 27th at 1pm. This implies new measures intended to simplify researchers work and develop the Action Plan’s clarity and processes.
Simplification as watchword
Following the announcement at the end of April 2016 of fifty first simplification measures for Research and Higher Education (nine measures are directly concerned by the Agency’s scope of action), ANR wanted to initiate simplification measures from September 2016.
A lot of new measures have already been included in the Action Plan and Generic Call for Proposals 2017: simplification of the submission application, clarity of the Action Plan, reduction process for the scientific applications required for the calls for proposals, optimisation of the Young Researchers instrument or creation of a new instrument intended to maximize their success rate at the ERC (European Research Council). Other actions will be organized by the end of 2016 and during the year 2017.
Meeting the scientific communities
In order to clarify its action within the research communities, ANR counts on a specific information process. Thus, through the « ANR tour », the Agency will be reaching out to scientific communities in charge of projects in Paris and regionally. On the occasion of an average of 15 meetings held in universities and research organisations, ANR representatives will meet researchers in order to provide them tips and information. If the goal is to expose the Action Plan and its different calls for proposals, this ANR Tour is also the occasion to advice researchers on the way to answer to the calls.
