Call for Applications - Scientific Evaluation Panel (CES) Chairmen Referees

ANR’s selection process is based on the principle of peer review, in accordance with international standards. The Agency therefore depends on regularly renewed panels as well as a deliberately broad body of eminent scientists who recuse themselves from said panels. The Agency launched today a public call for applications, open until 17 June 2016, in order to recruit chairmen referees.

This new position is open to researchers whose renown extends throughout France and abroad; successful applicants are appointed for a one-year term, renewable twice. Their mission at ANR is threefold:

  • Chairmen referees leverage their skills and experience to become privileged interlocutors within their scientific communities.

  • Within the Scientific Operations Division, chairmen referees, along with project officers assigned to their panels, ensure compliance with selection regulations set out in ANR's Code of Ethics.

  • Chairmen referees also make proposals for the continuous improvement of Agency procedures with respect to the general framework provided by the Scientific Operations Division.

The position is open to officials and contract agents from the public sector as well as private sector executives (“cadres”). Their status may take the form of a partial provision (“disposition partielle”), partial delegation (“délegation partielle”), or vacancy (“vacation”). Employment rate, annualised according to the tasks to be achieved, corresponds to 20% or 30% of full-time annual employment according to the size and specificity of the panel.

ANR will be accepting applications until June 17, 2016. This call for applications reflects ANR desire to make its procedures as open and all-encompassing as possible. As such, ANR encourages interested individuals from throughout the entire scientific community to apply.
