InGaN nano-pyramid-based Multi-terminal multi-junction Solar cells – INMoSt
The purpose of INMoSt is the realization of low-cost, high-efficiency, multi-junction solar cells using a single material family, namely III-nitride semiconductors. This target becomes possible by combination of a series of innovative technologies.
The first milestone will be the demonstration of beyond-state-of-the-art, free-standing, and flexible InGaN-based SCs. The ultimate goal will be the fabrication of a stack of such SCs, using a process fully compatible with conventional IC technology.
In vivo gynogenesis in maize: novel insights into plant double fertilization – NOT-LIKE-DAD
A deviation from the classical double fertilization process of higher plants induces in peculiar maize lines haploid embryos containing only the maternal genome. This project aims to use this unique maize line as tool to better understand plant sexual reproduction.
In vivo G-Quadruplexes Topologies and Identification of Proteins Partners – G4-TopIPro
We propose the use of G-quadruplex systems constrained in a single topology to identify and characterize the proteins which interact with a well-defined G-quadruplex topology. We also propose to use this concept to generate specific antibodies of a given G-quadruplex topology in order to determine what is the nature of the G-quadruplex topology in vivo.
In situ microviscosity measurements in complex systems by using molecular rotors. – MicroVISCOTOR
The microrheology of complex systems faces significant challenges: 1) in situ measurements within confined systems; 2) on line measurements in dynamic microsystems, and 3) viscosity mapping at the nanoscale.
MICROVISCOTOR proposes o develop a cost-effective microfluidics device capable to measure and map on-line and in real-time spatially- and time-resolved microviscosities of complex fluids by using molecular rotors.
In situ delivery of Interleukin-7 to adjuvant mucosal vaccines – VacMucIL7
We demonstrated that Interleukine-7 (IL-7) is produced in infected mucosae and is able to trigger local expression of chemokines when administered either locally or systemically, leading to massive immune cell homing into targeted mucosae. We hypothesize that locally delivered IL-7 may act as an efficient adjuvant to trigger mucosal immune responses to vaccines.
