Cooperative Catalysis Between Metal Single Atoms and Nanoparticles – COMET
Single metal atoms can be present in many supported catalysts (including commercial ones) in combination with metal particles, and have certainly played a role in many catalytic processes, but they have rarely been recognized as active sites. The project aims to develop a new generation of catalysts, combining in a controlled manner isolated atoms and metallic particles, in order to achieve cooperative catalysis.
Mitochondrial and protease dysfunction in progeroid Cockayne syndrome cells and during age-associated processes – CS_AGE
Understanding the molecular defects responsible for premature ageing diseases like Cockayne syndrome (CS), is critical to develop treatments, which are dramatically missing to date, and also elucidate physiological ageing. We identified an altered pathway that involves mitochondrial an metabolic dysfunction in cells from CS patients, and rescued these defects in these cells, by scavenging oxidative/nitrosative molecules, paving the path to therapeutic approaches for CS.

Redox modulation of rhodium-catalyzed nitrene insertions into C(sp3)-H bonds – CHamRhOx
We plan to design new dirhodium(II) complexes in order to develop a more efficient and subsequently enantioselective intermolecular amination of C(sp3)-H bonds in the context of sustainable chemistry. Our approach will be based on a mechanistic study from the point of view of the design of the catalysts, and the influence of the electronic properties of the ligands on their efficiency, selectivity and stability.
A risky market? The emergence of predictive maintenance of military systems in France – PREDICT-OP
Predict Op studies the emergence of digital data markets in the military domain from a dual perspective of economic sociology and organizational sociology. This concerns both the predictive maintenance of equipment, the «soldier of the future« and the construction of an infrastructure capable of supporting the transmission of massive data (data center, etc.).
System Level Understanding of Zinc and Phosphate Signalling Crosstalk – PHLOWZ
PHLOWZ: Understanding the interaction between zinc and phosphate signaling pathways in plants
A therapeutic target for ischemic related injuries, application to organ transplantation – KIRI
This project aims to design a new generation of pharmacological inhibitors capable of countering the consequences of an ischemic episode. They target a protein (serRS) that we have recently identified and implicated in the resistance of organs to ischemia. The clinical application is kidney transplantation.
Socio-Ecological Approach of Dog-borne zoonotic diseases in Southeast Asia – SEA-dog-SEA
Dog was the first domesticated animal, and it is currently the most widespread and abundant human commensal, especially in Asia where it plays an important role of reservoir for major public health infectious threats, such as rabies. Dog-borne zoonosis are neglected, with major knowledge gaps regarding socio-cultural and ecological determinants of dog-human interactions in SE Asia, to improve dog populations management for human, animal and environmental health benefits.
Multiscale estimation and Interface detection – Multisc-In
Interface detection is a challenging question in image processing, and more generally in graph processing, leading to a large panel of applications going from geophysics research to societal studies. The common point to these applications is the willingness to have an interface detection at a fine scale, possibly with subpixel accuracy, in order to extract interpretable parameters (e.g. physical or societal), from high resolution data.
