Investigating large scale bioreactor effects in microbial application – ScaleApp
Industrial production in large-scale bioreactors is state-of-the-art. However bioprocess conditions in large reactors are heterogenous in different regions of the reactor. Imperfect mixing and limited oxygen cause parameter gradients and performance loss during scale-up from laboratory to production. Conventional approaches rely on estimates. The ScaleApp project aims to make scale-up more predictive using advanced methods and devices such as sensor technology, scale-down bioreactors and CFD.
Investigating IPO8-dependent immune dysregulation of the GUT: from mechanism to precision medicine – IPOGUT
downstream TGF-?/BMP-dependent transcription (Ziegler A, 2021). In our cohort, strikingly, 50 % of IPO8 deficient
Inverse modelling of BLACK Carbon emissions using real time data from NETworked sensors – BLACKNET
Black carbon is a tracer of any combustion and therefore of any human activity or natural event that consumes carbon energy. In South-East Asia, there are many such activities and events. It is important to be able to monitor changes in the intensity and location of these sources in order to report on the transition underway and its effects on the environment and climate.

Intrinsically-Robust and Control-Aware Motion Planning for Robots in Real-World Conditions – CAMP
The ambition and scientific novelty of CAMP is to develop a general and unified “intrinsically-robust and control-aware motion planning framework” and to demonstrate the applicability of this new framework to real robots in real-world challenging tasks.
IntpTN3, a unique RecA-independent homology-directed recombinase: mechanism, structure, partners and applications – IntpTN3
(1) Characterization of the enzymatic activity of homologous recombination in vitro of hybrid enzymes. (2) Isolation and characterization of potential protein partners of these enzymes. (3) Use of these enzymes in homologous intact DNA recognition assays. (4) Resolution of the three-dimensional structure of these enzymes.
