We explored the interplay between atomic matter and cavity quantum electrodynamics, obtaining a rich tapestry of insights and accomplishments at the intersection of atomic, molecular, and optical physics. The core of our research lay in the creation of a versatile experimental setup encompassing a traveling wave cavity in ultra-high-vacuum, and in the theoretical study of the crystallization effects determined by this specific configuration.
Emergent communication through curiosity-driven multi-agent reinforcement learning – ECOCURL
The ECOCURL project proposes to leverage recent contributions in Multi-Agent Reinforcement Learning to study how compositional communication systems can emerge in artificial agent populations and support the open-ended discovery of increasingly complex cooperative strategies. The results of the project will be eventually demonstrated in a rich 3D environment and disseminated in the scientific community and high-visibility outreach events.

Enantioselective organocatalysis has established itself as an essential tool in the modern chemists' toolbox. If the activation by Bronsted acid or bases and those by Lewis bases are well developed, this is much less the case for catalysis by Lewis acids. We therefore propose to develop new Lewis acid catalysts proceeding by halogen bond, in which an additional hydrogen bond will help control the enantioselectivity.

La réutilisation des contenants en acier inoxydable et en verre utilisés historiquement est remise en cause pour des questions logistiques. Par conséquent, de nombreuses communes ont orienté leurs choix vers des contenants en bioplastique à base de cellulose, légers et jetables. Il n’existe pas de test obligatoire pour évaluer les effets sur le système endocrinien des molécules migrant du contenant vers le contenu.
