micro-Organisms and Reactivity of HYdrOgeN in underground – ORHYON
Hydrogen (H2) is a very promising resource. It can be transported and stored in large amounts into underground natural reservoirs. H2 is also produced as a geological resource from natural emissions.<br /><br />The results of the chair will lead to a better understanding of the processes controlling H2 migration and retention in geological formations; to new tools and methodologies to reduce the risks associated with geological storage; to provide technical guidance for its exploration and production.

In children, the interrupted bony loss (IBL) of jaws is mainly caused by malformation as cleft lip or palate at the maxilla. Jaw bone repair is very challenging due to some clinical specifications (complex shape of the defect, risk of infection in oral cavity, specific mechanical properties). Positive functional and aesthetical outcomes can be difficult to achieve. Autologous bone grafting, is the “gold standard” but this can add significant morbidities such as scarring and chronic pain.

In the NICETWEET project, we develop a new methodology to address an important and generic problem that appears in economics,telecommunications, energy markets, and politics. Several decision-makers (DMs) are in competition for propagating ideas or selling goods, services, etc. to a large number of agents who are connected through a physical or digital social network (SN). The agents are thus under the influence of their neighbors in the SN graph, but also under the influence of the DMs.
Understanding and improving trust in scientific truths: an experimental approach – TrustSciTruths
We are conducting controlled experiments to identify the determinants of trust in scientific experts and processes. A 1st line of research focuses on the effectiveness and perception of algorithms used to recruit workers. A 2nd axis studies the impact of an adviser's gender and expert status on recommendation follow-up. A 3rd axis looks at whether the fact that the conclusion of a reasoning is pleasant affects the ability to reason.

Pathogenic flaviviruses of global importance such as dengue (DENV), Zika (ZIKV) and yellow fever (YFV) viruses are transmitted through a mosquito bite. Myocardial infarction remains a frequent and disabling disease with still no therapeutic strategy to mitigate the risk of developing heart failure. The mitochondrial Ca2+ uniporter represents the key structure which controls Ca2+ entry inside mitochondria, and therefore a relevant target upstream of the mitochondrial Ca2+ overload to modulate not only cell death but also mitochondrial bioenergetics and Ca2+ homeostasis.
