The Generic Call for Proposals (AAPG) is the main call of the French National Research Agency (ANR). It is open to all scientific communities and public or private stakeholders involved in French research. It supports project-based research across all scientific fields and disciplines, giving full prominence to fundamental, exploratory, or applied research, guided by the curiosity of researchers.
The Belmont Forum, an international partnership of research funding organizations of which ANR is a member, is launching a call for proposals in the area of oceanic science. The call, entitled “OCEAN 2: Towards the Ocean We Want : Biodiversity and Ecosystem Sustainability for Nature and Human Well-being”, aims at coordinating actions and projects through a transdisciplinary approach, fostering co-creation, co-design, and co-implementation of innovative solutions to address global environmental challenges related to the ocean, its biodiversity from genes to ecosystems.
The fifth Joint Call 2026 of the Clean Energy Transition Partnership (CETPartnership), co-funded by the European Commission under the Horizon Europe programme, brings together over 60 funding agencies from 35 countries. This coordinated effort aims to support innovative projects that advance the energy transition. In France, the French National Research Agency (ANR) and the Pays de la Loire Region Council are participating of this call.
The first Joint Transnational Call 2026 of the Raw Materials Partnership is open for transnational research and innovation projects across the raw materials value chain, from mining to recycling and reuse. The call will support projects that contribute to sustainable and resilient systems for the green and digital transition. In France, the French National Research Agency (ANR) and the Center of Nickel Research Technology Environment Competitiveness (CNRTEC) of New Caledonia are participating of this call.
More than 30 funding agencies participate in the M-ERA.NET Call 2026 (edition 2027 for ANR) to fund ambitious transnational RTD projects addressing materials research and innovation supporting the European Green Deal and the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDG). The call is structured in 6 topics, 4 of which are eligible for ANR.

The EU Partnership on Animal Health and Welfare (EUPAHW) aims to ensure that livestock, poultry and aquaculture systems operate sustainably for the benefit of animal health and welfare and the society. The 2026 co-funded transnational call, which is the second EUPAHW call, brings together national and regional financial resources from Ministries and Funding Organisations (FOs) in 24 countries—each responsible for supporting research and innovation—with co-funding from the European Union.
