Research on open science practices and issues (AMI-SO)

The call for expressions of interest « Research on open science practices and issues » invites researchers to initiate a reflective and critical approach to observe and study their research practices in the context of open science. This AMI, which prepares for a future call for proposals, is open to all scientific communities.

Open science is now widely recognized as likely to foster more collaborative, more cumulative and more efficient research. However, its generalization requires a careful consideration of the research practices specific to each scientific community.

In this context, the French National Research Agency launchs a call for expressions of interest that aims to enrich the national and international reflection on the practices and challenges of open science. This critical approach can take various forms and pursue various objectives. If some approaches aim to better understand scientific practices, their diversity and their evolution, others intend to contribute to public research policies by providing data, measurement or evaluation tools, and by formulating proposals and recommendations. This call for expressions of interest is open to both approaches.

Without limitation, project proposals may be based on mono or multidisciplinary approaches. They can be multiscalar, comparative, experimental, historical, sociological, economic, philosophical and present case studies. They must take into account the context defined by the public policies implemented at the national, European and, if necessary, international levels.
