The French National Research Agency (ANR), in partnership with the CNSA (the National Fund for Solidarity and Independence), is launching the 2013 edition of the “Mental Health - Addictions” call for proposals.

Dementia and mental retardation are not covered by this call.
Transnational call: SAMENTA 2013 will include a transnational call within the NEURON II ERA-NET opening in January 2013 (http://www.neuron-eranet.eu).
This call aims at enabling multi-national collaborative projects that will address important questions related to mental disorders. Projects must be based on complementarity and sharing of expertise. The added value of working transnational collaborations should be clearly stated. There will be an asset for multi-disciplinary or translational approaches.
The areas covered by the call will span from basic research on disease mechanisms to clinical research i.e. “proof-of-concept” in humans. Projects may include research on affective disorders, stress-related and anxiety disorders, schizophrenia and delusional disorders, substance use disorders, and other mental disorders. Research on dementia will not be considered in this call.
