The French National Research Agency (ANR) and the Fonds de recherche du Québec – Société et culture (FRQSC) launch a bilateral call for proposals in the Humanities and Social Sciences.
The major objective of this joint call is to strengthen the collaboration between researchers from France and Québec and to fund excellent transnational research projects that could not be carried out outside of an international cooperation framework.
The call will support projects across three broad topics:
Projects will have a maximum duration of 36 months. Funding will be provided to French applicants by the ANR within a maximum amount of 250 k€ per project. Funding will be provided to applicants from Québec by the FRQSC within a maximum amount of 200 000 CA$ per project.
Each partner of the consortium will be funded directly by its respective national funding organisation. Therefore all national regulations apply.
The call will follow a two-step submission and evaluation process according to the timetable below. Only successful letters of intent will be invited to submit full proposals. The submission and evaluation procedure will be handled jointly by the ANR and the FRQSC.
Letters of intent and full proposals will be submitted online through the ANR website.
