9th Call of the CHIST-ERA ERA-NET

The ANR participates in the 9^th call of the CHIST-ERA ERA-NET consortium (European coordinated research on long-term ICT and ICT-based scientific Challenges) bringing together 18 European countries, with a budget of 13M€. The call announcement can be found under Call 2018 on the official CHIST-ERA website: www.chistera.eu

In this call, two new and emerging topics of ICST domain are addressed, namely:

1. Analog Computing for Artificial Intelligence (ACAI)
    
2. Smart Distribution of Computing in Dynamic Networks (SDCDN)

The aim of the call is to support highly innovative, international and multidisciplinary transformative research projects in ICST domain with potential for significant scientific and technical impacts.

A two-step submission process applies. Applicants are invited to submit a pre-proposal and, if selected in the first step, to submit a full proposal. At both stages of the application, the coordinator prepares a joint proposal (pre-proposal or full proposal), in English, for the whole consortium, using the template available on http://www.chistera.eu/call-2018-announcement and submit it via the online submission system of CHIST-ERA.

Interested researchers are invited to start discussing possible projects with prospective partners and to use the Partner Search Tool available on the call page, and/or to publish an expression of interest on that tool.

For projects selected for funding, each partner of the consortium will be funded directly by its respective national funding organisation. Therefore, all national regulations apply. In particular, the French applicants must read the document entitled “Modalités de participation pour les participants” available on this page.
