4th transnational call for proposals 2024 of the European Clean Energy Transition Partnership (CETP)
The CETPartnership is a multilateral and strategic partnership which brings together public and private stakeholders, foster transnational innovation ecosystems, and overcome the fragmented research and innovation landscape for the clean energy transition.
The CETP 2025 call is structured around 10 Call Modules (CMs), each addressing a key dimension of the energy transition. These modules are based on 7 Transition Initatives (TRIs), which define the strategic challenges to be tackled in order to achieve a sustainable energy future.
For this call, the ANR will participate to the 7 following call modules :
- CM2025-01 (TRI 1 & TRI 6) : Multi-vector interactions between the integrated energy system and industrial frameworks
- CM2025-02 (TRI 1 & TRI 2) : Energy system flexibility: renewables production, storage and system integration
- CM2025-03A (TRI 2) : Advanced renewable energy (RE) technologies for power production (ROA)
- CM2025-04 (TRI 3) : Carbon capture, utilisation and storage (CCUS)
- CM2025-05 (TRI 3) : Hydrogen & renewable fuels. Concerning hydrogen production only green hydrogen production will be eligible for ANR.
- CM2025-06 (TRI 4) : Heating and cooling technologies. Only Applied research and development projects (achieving TRL 4, 5 or 6 after project completion) will be eligible for ANR.
- CM2025-09 (TRI 7) : Clean energy integration in the built environment
The call text, also containing the list of countries and regions participating in this call and their positioning about the call modules, is available on the CETP website.
A project consortium must be built of at least three independent legal entities (i.e. at least one Coordinator and two other Beneficiary Partners) applying and deemed eligible for funding by relevant national/regional Funding Organisations from at least three different countries participating in the Call. Of these three entities, at least two must be from EU Member States or HE Associated Countries.
Partners of the selected proposals will be funded directly by their respective national or regional agencies. As a result, national/regional regulations apply in addition to call rules.
ANR will only fund French teams. In particular, French partners requesting funding from ANR should read the document "Appendix for Partners requesting funding from ANR", available on this page.
Project submission and evaluation will take place in two steps. All project proposals must be submitted through the CETPartnership Application Portal respecting requested format and terms, available online on the CETP website.
No project proposal will be accepted after the submission deadline.
Only pre-proposals selected after the first evaluation step will be allowed to submit a full proposal. Partners requesting funding from ANR invited to stage 2 will be contacted by email (deadlines and address will be specified) to submit their full proposal to the ANR platform.
