In previous reports, we have shown that small molecule inhibitors of EthR stimulate the transcription of the ethA gene, which improves the bio-activation of ETH and consequently boosts its antibiotic activity, both in vitro and in vivo. However, as expected, these molecules were unable to boost the bio-activation of ETH in strains harboring mutations in ethA. Tea-4-Two is based on the discovery of a new generation of drug molecules that main circumvent the problem of drug resistance to ETH.
Role of Zbtb24 and DNA methylation in late B-cell differention and humoral memory – METHYL-MEMORY
Life-long protection by the humoral immune system is supported by long-lived plasma cells, which constitutively secrete antibodies, and memory B cells, which remain quiescent in the absence of the cognate antigen. As both cell types are affected in patients suffering from the ICF syndrome, the elucidation of the link between the genetic basis of this disease and the immunodeficiency should bring new light on the physiology of these cells and help find new treatments for this disease.

Given previous research, the two main remaining challenges toward a healthier eating behavior in children are to:<br />- Identify and understand the determinants of “what” and “how much” is eaten in infants and children, by taking into account sociological, psychological, experiential and sensory factors,<br />- Evaluate the effectiveness of innovative levers of actions in order to modify “what” and “how much” is eaten in school-aged children, exploring psychological, behavioral, and marketing tracks.

BESTMEMS aims at developing a global approach for the design of self-powered systems supplied by ambient vibrations, including material, mechanical, electrical and energy management aspects for the conception of energetically autonomous sensors. With this aim, two specific target applications will be envisaged through the collaboration with industrial partners, consisting in a self-powered Tyre Pressure Monitoring System and a structural health monitoring system for smart bearings.
On the Government of Familial Feelings: Towards a Sociology of Contemporary Ethopolitics – ETHOPOL
ETHOPOL is a research program hosted by the University of Toulouse Jean Jaurès. Five social scientists collaborate to analyze the diversity of family regulations and their subjective consequences. Members of this team work on adoption, medically assisted reproduction, surrogacy, paternity testing, and the regulation of birth; they aim to study how institutions frame families and modify the way subjects feel, think, and act.
