From health crisis to political crisis? A study on the politicization processes in France hit by the Covid-19 epidemic – COVIPOL
How is the health, economic and social crisis caused by Covid-19 affecting citizens' political attitudes and their relationship to voting and democracy?
This project aims at providing a better understanding of how crises change political attitudes, through an analysis of politicization processes related to the current health crisis. It starts from the central assumption that work is a main space of socialization to politics.
COVID19 and PERINATal health: improving knowledge and tools to protect pregnant women and newborns during infectious disease epidemics – COV_PERINAT
Pregnant women and newborns are vulnerable populations during a pandemic because of the risks related to infection, but also because of indirect effects related to the pandemic and societal mitigation measures. Pathways include restricted healthcare access as well as the consequences of economic hardship and anxiety and stress. This study aims to study the indirect effects of the pandemic on perinatal health using the medico-administrative databases of the National System of Health Data (SNDS).
Tribological reliability of amorphous metallic alloys – TriboRAMA
Tribological reliability of Bulk Metallic Glasses
Shaping inequalities or building social bonds? Ceremonial economy under and after socialism in Central Asia (1960s-2020s) – CEREMONIAC
The Ceremoniac project aims to analyse and understand the rationales behind the inflation of ceremonial expenditure in Central Asian societies from the end of the Soviet period until today. It aims at questioning the production or reinforcement of inequalities, generated by these practices while they remain powerful vectors of social cohesion.
New Antibiotics Tackling mUlti-Resistance by acting on Alternative bacteriaL tARgets in Synergy with mEmbrane-disruptiNg AntimicrobiaL peptides. – NATURAL-ARSENAL
Understanding the mode of action of new natural antibiotics in synergy with membrane-destabilizing antimicrobial peptides
Dynamic Versatile Semantics – DYVERSE
The objective of DyVerSe is to provide better tools for a dynamic description of programs. This representation must handle rich combinations of computational effects: higher-order, shared memory concurrency, probabilistic choice, etc. It must also allow us to link earlier semantic development for specific effects, which have until now remained separate.
Ignition Combustion Explosion Environment and Energetic Materials – ACXEME
Contribution to the understanding of energetic systems, both explosive and propulsive:
- Optimization of materials and designed systems,
- Prediction of the performances of new compositions under current and future environmental constraints (REACH).
Origin and consequences of asexuality in Mesorhabditis nematodes – Pseudogamy
We discovered the previously unrecognized reproductive strategy of the nematode Mesorhabitis belari, called auto-pseudogamy, which features progressive loss of males and sexuality. We will use species of the Mesorhabditus genus, with or without sexual reproduction, to explore the cellular origins and the genomic consequences of auto-pseudogamy. We will use our combined expertise in evolutionary cell biology and population genetics, on a study system that offers many experimental advantages.
Fungal communities associated with marine plastic waste and their bioremediation potential – MycoPLAST
Plastics debris pervades in our oceans and freshwater systems at an increasing accumulation rate. While identifying the major sources of plastics are critical, greater investigations on the plastic microbiome to characterize the whole microbial communities appear also essential. The major aim of MycoPLAST is thus to highlight specific microbial communities, and more precisely fungal communities, able to degrade plastics.
