The project deals with questions linked to metastability for nonlinear stochastic processes: the so-called self-stabilizing diffusion (which is a McKean-Vlasov diffusion in which the law of the process intervenes in the drift through convolution), the self-interacting diffusio, (where the occupation measure intervenes in the drift) and Keller-Segel type diffusions (with space-time interaction).

The noncoding fraction of genomes is likely to contribute to phenotypic diversity among closely related species, given its role in gene expression regulation and its rapid turnover in evolution. Here we aim to explore how the noncoding genome allows for rapid adaptation and species-specification on a short evolutionary timescale, using the X chromosome inactivation process as a paradigm.

Catherine Vautrin, ministre du Travail, de la Santé, des Solidarités et des Familles, Philippe Baptiste, ministre chargé de l’Enseignement supérieur et de la Recherche, Yannick Neuder, ministre chargé de la Santé et de l’accès aux soins, Bruno Bonnell, Secrétaire général pour l’investissement, en charge de France 2030, et Charles-Edouard Escurat, directeur général de l’Agence de l’innovation en santé, annoncent le nom des 15 chercheurs et chercheuses distingués par une « Chaires d’excellence en Biologie/Santé » de France 2030. Leurs projets de recherche seront ainsi financés pour une durée de cinq ans. Ce dispositif, qui vise à renforcer l’attractivité de la recherche biomédicale française, soutient des scientifiques d’exception.

Ultrafast Non Linear Optics in liquid Crystals – UNLOC
The main objective of the UNLOC proposition is the development of a new experimental facility, dedicated to ultrafast nonlinear optics in novel and complex materials. Composed of an energetic femtosecond source, temporal shaping through OPA and/or post-compression systems and adequate spectroscopic tools, it will be devoted to the study of liquid crystals (LC) in two mesophases, and extended to photorefractive materials.
