Social Mobility, Social Exclusion and Social Networks – SOSOSO
The object of this research project is to analyse the impact of social networks on two distinct but related phenomena: social mobility and social exclusion. The key role played by networks on mobility and exclusion has been widely documented in the social sciences, particularly in sociology, but ignored in economics. Our objective in this project is to shed new light on this literature by importing recently developed concepts in network economics.

Real-gas Effects on Fluid Injection: a Numerical and Experimental study. – REFINE
The present proposal concerns the propulsion with application to the automotive and aerospace science and technology. The need for higher efficiency and lower emission levels leads to increase pressure i.e. to reach supercritical properties of fluids. The objective of REFINE is to build a simple well-controlled test-bench able to study a fluid injection under sub-, trans- and super-critical conditions and to associate experimental and numerical diagnostics to deliver the finest information.

SYNBIOMOLL aims at extending Synthetic Biology key technologies to Mollicutes species of interest. Because several bacterial genomes have already been cloned in yeast and the synthetic assembly of large DNA fragments is in current use, the major technological limitation is our ability to extend the genome transplantation technology to other microbial species. This project could therefore lead to a better comprehension of the biology of pathogenic bacteria and the development of new vaccines.

The massive use of pesticides since the 50's was a major revolution in our societies (agonomy, medecine). The evolution of resistance in treated organisms is a situation where the process of adaptation has the most immediate consequences on a massive scale. It is however often envisioned in a simplified ecological context. The originality of this project is to focus on the impact of gradient and low doses of pesticide.
Lanthanide complexes as Trojan Horse for proteins structural studies – Ln23
The Ln23 project proposes to exploit lanthanide complexes noted [Ln], as Trojan Horses for structural determination of proteins by developing original and straightforward methodologies for three complementary structural techniques, namely X-ray crystallography including crystallogenesis, Small-Angle X-ray Scattering (SAXS) and solid-state NMR.
