Ion transport through ion bio-channels confined inside nanopores: a combined theoretical and experimental project – TRANSION
Our project aims at confining Ion Bio-Channel (IBC) in solid-state nanopores and at investigating their functional properties .Our goal is thus to build bio-inspired nanoporous systems exhibiting exceptional ion transport properties.
In order to solve some of the scientific challenges associated with this project, a trans-disciplinary, i.e. biophysics/physics/chemistry, and trans-methodology (i.e. experiment/molecular simulation/analytical model) research consortium is proposed.
MorphoDYNAmics of tidal inlets: 3D numerical MOdelling and impacts on pollutant circulation. – DYNAMO
Numérical modelling, relationships with adjacent shorelines and impacts of morphological changes on pollutants pathways.
BActerial production of Glycerol (di)Ether Lipids : Biogeochemical, (palaeo)environmental and evolutionary implications – BAGEL
This project aims to explain the physiological, environmental and evolutionary reasons for the presence of certain lipids (called glycerol ethers) in new bacteria isolated from a normal marine environment, while these lipids have been considered typical of microorganisms living in extreme environments (e.g., very hot).
Adaptation to variable pesticide doses – SilentAdapt
The massive use of pesticides since the 50's was a major revolution in our societies (agonomy, medecine). The evolution of resistance in treated organisms is a situation where the process of adaptation has the most immediate consequences on a massive scale. It is however often envisioned in a simplified ecological context. The originality of this project is to focus on the impact of gradient and low doses of pesticide.
Lewis acids: acidity scales and catalytic activity – ALEA
Lewis superacids : acidity scales and catalytic activity

The ALEA deals with synthetic and physicochemical aspects of catalytic reactions with Lewis superacids, which have shown to present an exceptional activity in the electrophilic activation of organic reactions and in catalysis.
The ALEA project has also opened interesting new perspectives concerning Lewis acid supported catalysts; it allowed for industrial contracts and for academic collaborations.
Teaching and Preaching with the Patristic auctoritates - Meister Eckhart, bridging France and Germany, past and present – TEAPREA
Teaching and Preaching with Patristic auctoritates. Meister Eckhart in France and Germany, past and present
Uncovering verb-second effects. An interface-based typology. – UV2
Germanic languages, with the major exception of Modern English, are characterized by the regular occurrence of the finite verb in second position in main clauses, a property known as ‘verb second’ (V2). Taking Germanic V2 to be part of a wider set of V2 effects occurring in other languages, the project sets out to investigate a typologically diverse set of languages displaying V2 effects.
First zootechnical innovations in Southwest Asian societies (5th-1rst Millennia B.C.): origin and development of sheep breeds – EVOSHEEP
From an early stage, research focused on Neolithization and the domestication of plants and animals and the fields of archaeozoology and molecular biochemistry significantly enhanced our knowledge of the origins of domestication . However, few investigations have been conducted up until now on the development of domestic races and the zootechnical practices of the first livestock farmers.
